Optional Practical Training (OPT) is a benefit of being an F-1 student. It is intended to provide hands-on practical work experience that is directly related to an international student's major of study. The training is authorized by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) for a maximum of 12 months, and is available to students who have been lawfully enrolled on a full-time basis for at least one academic year. This workshop will help you understand the eligibility and application procedures.
