The Soup & Substance Series is a monthly event featuring topics related to Diversity & Inclusion. The lunchtime discussions are designed to encourage thought provoking discussions among students, faculty, and staff at Northwood University.
Dr. Pionk, Medical Director of Hospitalist Program at McLaren Bay Region, will give a speech entitled “Out in the Workplace: Impacts on Health and Social Well-Being.” Dr. Pionk will discuss the real mental and physical health impacts that a lack of inclusion and being closeted about one's sexuality has on individuals and the implications that this has for the businesses they work for.
STUDENTS, FACULTY, AND STAFF ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND THIS FREE EVENT! A LIGHT LUNCH & REFRESHMENTS WILL BE PROVIDED. STUDENTS WILL RECEIVE EXCEL CREDIT.
